Never lose another email
Spam filtering is never 100% right. So what happens when spam filters classify your important mails as spam ? It is either rejected or accepted and quarantined silently both of which are quite undesirable. Openprotect does the right thing by rejecting at SMTP level and at the same time quarantining the mail for you.
We hear you ask,
Big deal ? My spam filter also has a quarantine. So what ?
OpenProtect is different because we reject spam, virus mails at the SMTP level but quarantine them at the same time. Now go to your anti spam documentation and take a closer look at what is quarantined and what is not.
Surprised ? Shocked ? Many anti spam filters use DNSBLs to block mails at RCPT time. So all you got in your logs is a server ip, server hostname, envelope from and one envelope recipient if you are lucky. Its all fine and dandy except when an important mail gets blocked because your sender’s email server ip is blacklisted possibly due to a security breach at their site. So an important mail gets rejected and you have no idea the mail even got rejected except for peering through logs and correlating the sender with their email server IP. This happens often enough that we know it is better to quarantine all rejected mails just in case.
Wait ! there is more. You can also search our quarantine by subject, attachment names along with from, to, mail size and filter result and decision. This time you needn’t even refer your anti spam documentation. You know a powerful feature when you see one. We take pride in the fact, that we offer one of the most sophisticated search interfaces for tracking your mails. Even though it sounds cheeky, we care about your email.
